2% Thoriated Tungsten RED COLOR  is the classic Blend good for all types of welding  AC an DC .

It is slightly Radioactive so in recent years it has been pushed to be discontinued.

Its hard to beat its performance on DC arc stability and cleanliness.  Its my go to choice of tungsten for DC .
